The official CBT, at a glance
Part A: 15 numeracy questions in 30 minutes. Part B: 100 clinical questions in 150 minutes. Both parts must be passed separately. Part A requires 13/15 correct; the NMC specification describes Part B standards as varying by nursing field, generally 60–70%.
Both parts cost £83; resits cost £50 for A only, £70 for B only, or £83 for both. Use the NMC-specific Pearson VUE centre finder for current locations and appointments. Checked 26 October 2026.
